About Laura Glazer
Photographer, entrepreneur, and music curator, Laura Glazer left her home state of Virginia to earn a Bachelor’s degree in photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology. By age 22, her work was published in The New York Times Magazine. While serving in AmeriCorps, Laura worked on projects in Denver, St. Louis, Branson, and Kansas City. Finding herself in Albany, she started the award-winning radio show, Hello Pretty City, in 2003 and recently launched a monthly companion magazine. By day she’s a marketing specialist and graphic designer. During all other hours, she continues her long-term documentary photography projects, creates local ephemera, and serves on the Albany Heritage Tourism Working Group at the request of Mayor Kathy Sheehan.
